  2. Success: anti-Flu Vaccine for NBH & KrBH 2016

Winter brings not only holidays, presents and lots of fun by outdoors games with the snow but also lots of extra worries for the doctors because it is the season of viruses and flus.
As always, unfortunately there was no budget available to buy anti-flu vaccine nor for necessary winter medics for the children of the orphanages in Ukraine.
And as always Les Amis de Svieta came to help. It has become the tenth year when our friends in America, Helen and Jim Smith (the leaders of Svieta Inc.) have kindly paid for more than 100 doses of anti-flu vaccine for NBH.

  4. Bathtub and changing table needed

“I will manage everything if my mum is nearby” at NBH is an unprecedented project. Until now, we had no experience with hosting adults at NBH (mothers in this case). That’s why we now face a challange we couldn’t foresee, also the project is already “ongoing”. Bathroom reconstruction is the problem. Bathrooms were just big enough for children. Now the same bathroom will be used by both the mother and her child. For example now we need to install a shower cabin and a sink for the mother, which leaves no more space for the changing table and baby bathtub.

That’s why we came up with the following idea: bathtub and changing table kombi.

  6. Shoes for Zurupinsk boarding school

Lack of clothes and especially shoes for children have always been a problem for all Ukrainian orphanages. If we are talking about boarding school for children between 5 and 18, plus economical situation when all the prices in Ukraine have exploded, you can say without any hesitation this is one of the biggest problem nowadays.

That’s why when ZuBS applied to Les Amis de Svieta with the request to help them to buy shoes for children, we knew right away we had to help somehow. Luckily enough we had an opportunity to get 50 pair of shoes at a very good price , which were paid by our friend and sponsor Hanni.
