Vika travelled with 3 kids to Kiev, on the Sunday evening night train, accompagnied by 3 nurses.
Trip to Kharkov
Vika traveled on the night train with 2 children from NBH and 2 nurses to Kharkov. In Kharkov it was really cold.
In Kharkov Dmitriy and Nastya were examined at the hospital. The boy needs surgery in 9 months. A special splint was ordered for the girl. This will help make the legs straight without surgery.
The return trip took almost 17 hours for 560 km and went smoothly.
International Children’s Day at Nikolaiev Baby House
It has already become a good tradition at NBH to invite guests on the 1st of June, the International Children’s Day!
This year has not been any different. In spite of rainy Sunday morning the concert hall at the orphanage was nicely decorated and full of guests.Vika took two kids to hospitals in Kiev
Vika travelled with two children by train to Kiev, to two different hospitals, where they were examined.

Vika took a train to Kiev with Artem and Nastya
Vika and the two babies traveled to Kiev, accompagnied by two nurses. The babies needed to be examined in KCC (Kiev Cardio Center).
The trip went well, everything went smoothly, despite the current turmoil in Ukraine.Artem was accepted by hospital and he will undergo surgery in the near future. Nastya returned with Vika and with the nurse to Nikolaiev. more
New therapy room project for NBH now operational
We are glad to let you know that the “New therapy rook project at NBH” is completed. Physical rehabilitation lessons of children suffering from cerebral palsy has started.

At the moment there are 135 children at NBH; 90% of them have affection of central nervous system, or musculoskeletal system, or hearing and sight, or inborn and hereditary disabilities of different levels; 40% of those children suffer additionally from cerebral palsy. more
Karina went to Kharkov
In the middle of September 2013 Karina went to Kharkov again for her third operation. This time, exactly as it had been planned, both hands were operated. The doctors managed to separate both little fingers and now the girl has three on each hand. more
