As announced in last June’s article, a good part of the September/October trip was dedicated to the realization of this project which particularly lies at our heart.
Visit of the Baby House and the ‘school internat’ (boarding school) of Zhytomyr
Within the framework of our collaboration with the American organization OBS , we visited 2 new establishments in the area of Zhytomyr at the time of our trip in October 2006.
Christmas cards 2006

September/October trip report
Sunday, October 15th
Flight back via Munich, where I will stay a week for business. 🙄
Saturday, October 14th
We succeeded in finishing the purchase of the Montessori material at the market of Nikolaiev, not without difficulty. The remainder of the day was devoted to the assessment of the voyage and to the accounting.
Friday, October 13th
We spent the day trying to resolve the many last open points and to return to the Baby House of Nikolaiev. Great news: director Olga Ivanovna is invited to a series of seminars on health in Germany and Switzerland! Partly thanks to our assistance, she will leave tomorrow for a long trip by bus which will take her among other places also to Zurich, Bern and Geneva!Montessori pilot project
During the recent seminars organized by the new Ukrainian ministry for youth and sports, the Nikolaiev Baby House has received the mandate to carry out a pilot project of a Montesorri class.

Since yesterday, the new web site of “Les Amis de Svieta” is online! A new design, new colors, new software and a new server.

During the May 2006 trip to Ukraine we had the opportunity to visit for the first time the “baby house” in Kremenchuk.
